I believe in creating space where you can be your full self: unfiltered, unburdened, and unapologetic.

Are you exhausted from keeping it all together? Maybe you’ve been pushing through the pain, smiling on the outside, but deep down you're feeling anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed? If you're navigating trauma, burnout, or the weight of past experiences that won’t stay in the past, I see you. And I want you to know, healing is absolutely possible.

I’m a licensed psychologist who supports individuals and couples as they move through trauma and dysfunction into wholeness. I bring a warm, collaborative, and empowering presence into the therapy space. Our work together would look like building practical coping skills, gaining insight into patterns that no longer serve you, and processing the deep stuff: your past, your pain, and your power.

I use strategies grounded in research, and tailor them to fit your real life—your values, your goals, and your cultural context. I believe we’re all shaped by our environment, histories, and communities, so I take a contextual approach to therapy that honors what’s happening in the world around you, the stories that came before you, and the identity you hold today. Whether we’re unpacking trauma, shifting unhelpful thoughts, or rediscovering joy, I want our time together to be a space for hope, healing, and liberation.

When it comes to my training and experience, I’ve dedicated my career to doing this work with intention and excellence. I earned my undergraduate degree from the illustrious Howard University and completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at George Mason University. I completed both my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, and I now hold a faculty position at a large academic medical center.

I’ve worked across a wide range of clinical settings, including community clinics, large hospitals, outpatient programs, and inpatient psychiatric units, offering care that meets people wherever they are. I’m a Licensed Psychologist and credentialed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP), which means I’ve met national standards for education, training, and experience in delivering psychological health services. I specialize in treating trauma-related disorders, including complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and PTSD.

Outside of therapy, I love discovering new restaurants, learning new languages, and finding ways to keep my houseplants thriving (if they had a group chat, I know they'd be talking about me). I’m a lifelong learner who finds joy in traveling, reading, and connecting with culture in all its forms. My Christian faith fuels my passion for seeing people healed, whole, and restored to health—mind, body, and spirit. If faith is an important part of your life, you're welcome to bring it into the therapy space with me.

I do this work because I believe in our healing. I believe that wellness is your right, not a reward you have to earn. Therapy with me is about more than just getting by—it’s about stepping into your freedom, your peace, and your power. Let’s do the work, together.
