Heeyy #BossChic! Yes, I’m talking to YOU! Are you taking care of everyone and everything in your life?

Are you juggling a lot of responsibilities and wearing many hats? Are you afraid that the slightest disruption will cause everything you’ve built to crumble? Are you having a hard time loving the person that you see in the mirror? So many of us can answer “YES” to most of these questions. The performance of having it all together gets tiresome and lonely. I want you to know that I hear you and that I see you.
Let me help you on your life journey to find balance, inner and outer peace, joy, and self-acceptance. I specialize in trauma, worry, relationship distress, perfectionism, depression, and illness/disability adjustment, such as insomnia and chronic pain. As your therapist, I’ll provide a safe space to help you explore and connect with the emotions and experiences that make you who you are. I’ll ask the hard questions. Together, we will uncover the behaviors that are no longer serving you well and then we will create an action plan to help you make your desired changes. Change won’t be perfect, but it will be worth it.

I earned my PhD from The University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. I completed a nationally accredited doctoral internship at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and a psychology postdoctoral fellowship in evidence-based treatment at the Memphis Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
I am nationally certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. In 2022, I was awarded the highest honor bestowed on clinical providers in my hospital system for the excellent care and treatment that I provided. Just know that I’ll give you my best, just as you give the world your best.

In my Glorilla voice, “Chic, I’m from Memphis!” When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, fiancé, and my toddler. I also love taking a real good nap, and I jump on any opportunity to play in makeup, dress up, listen to live music, or try a new restaurant.

I know that the world can be unkind. I also know that you have a long list of things to do, people to see, and places to be. How about we add “taking care of and learning to value myself” to your list of priorities. Let me know when you’re ready. I look forward to hearing from you.
